On the SAVE Act…

Both parties used to support stronger election safeguards. Why? Because it is common sense, but also because neither fully trusted the other.

Anti-cheating mechanisms are standard, especially if you think your opponent might cheat.

So here’s a thought experiment:

If you believe the other party is dishonest… why would you oppose voter ID, tighter controls, Election Day voting?

Unless — and this is awkward — you’ve figured out they’re actually more honest than you are.

Go figure.
